"And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;" Luke 19:37

"Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment."
Ecclesiastes 11:9

A Word from the Youth Pastor

I am so excited and thankful for the opportunity to serve the Youth of Mt. Olive. We are truly blessed to have some of the most intelligent, loving, and gifted young people in the world. They are our most precious possession. God has given us the important task of providing spiritual guidance and leadership.
I am pleased to announce two councils that will be working with the youth staff this year. The Youth Advisory Council and The Parent Council. The Youth Advisory Council will provide support and assistance to the youth staff. The Parent Council will work toward getting parents more involved with Youth Activities in the church. This year we will also have monthly memory assignments from The
Books of the Bible, Ten Commandments, and Scripture Verses.
It is our hope and prayer that through the study of God’s Word our youth will come into a saving knowledge of Christ. For those who are already Christians we are hoping that they will enter into a deeper relationship with the Lord. We are expecting great things with the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Sincerely,
Rev. William E. Blackwell, Youth Pastor
